Landlocked between five countries in Southeast Asia, Laos has no direct access to the sea. It is outlined along most of its western boundary by the mighty Mekong River. The Annamite Mountain Range frames the country along its east side. Most of Laos is mountainous with rugged and abruptly shaped karst peaks offering majestic views. Predominantly Buddhist, Laos amazes with its preserved culture and peacefulness. Much less populated than its neighboring Thailand and Vietnam, is less hectic and more laid back.
Led by award-winning photographer Sasha Vasiljev, the tour will introduce you to the republic of Laos, with its friendly people, fascinating culture and gastronomy. Laos offers beautiful examples of Buddhist and colonial architecture, as well as unique possibility to observe and photograph the Buddhist monks' ancient ceremony of receiving alms. Its mysterious karst landscapes and majestic waterfalls with lush vegetation will amaze you.
Sasha will work with you to further develop your landscape and cultural photography skills through informal teaching sessions and hands-on field shooting.
Throughout the trip you will stay at boutique lodges and hotels chosen for their charm, comfort and services.
