NATURE & PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS
PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR
The U.S. state of Maine is known for its rugged and dramatic landscape. Its coastline covers some 3,500 miles/5,633 km, encompassing many peninsulas with numerous coves, bays and hundreds of islands. The shoreline is ornate with 57 active lighthouses and many working harbors. Today, as in the past, living from the bounties of the ocean remains a large part of the economy and way of life for many “Mainers”.
" I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to visit and photograph the less traveled parts of Maine and who would like to learn some valuable techniques ..." Victoria
- ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
- CAPE ELIZABETH
- MONHEGAN ISLAND
- LIGHTHOUSES THROUGHOUT THE MID-COAST OF MAINE
- PEMAQUID PENINSULA
Led by award-winning photographer Michael Austin Kane, this tour will show off Maine at its best. We would recommend the uniquely picturesque Pemaquid Peninsula with its Lighthouse, also the Portland Head Light, the oldest lighthouse in the state of Maine. Many picturesque harbors and villages will be in focus of your camera, reflecting Maine's coastal culture, as well as its rich historical past. Not to forget Monhegan Island, where artists like Edward Hopper, George Bellows and Rockwell Kent found their inspiration during their summer stays and the famous Acadia National Park. Maine is renowned for its ever-changing coastal weather from fog to brilliant sunshine, allowing for diverse photography opportunities.
Michael will conduct informal teaching sessions and hands-on field instruction, as well will share their tips and secrets for successful landscape photography. We are certain, you will leave this instructive tour with satisfying photo portfolio backed by great memories.
